KENSLEY'S Açaí & Café: Your Premier Destination for Delicious Açaí Bowls and Coffee in Chesapeake

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down one of the best café experiences in Chesapeake. Kensley’s Açaí & Café truly sets the standard for quality, flavor, and atmosphere. The breakfast was outstanding. Perfectly cooked scrambled eggs with cheese, fresh bread toasted just right, creamy avocado, and a side of fresh fruit that actually tasted fresh. Every bite felt intentional and homemade, not mass-produced or rushed. The latte was exceptional. Smooth, rich, and beautifully presented with whipped cream and a cookie on top. It was the perfect balance of indulgent and comforting, easily one of the best coffees I’ve had in the area. Beyond the food, the café itself is warm, clean, and inviting. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which makes a huge difference. Whether you’re stopping in for breakfast, coffee, or an açaí bowl, Kensley’s delivers consistent quality and a great experience every time. A true local gem and an easy five stars. I will absolutely be coming back.

Phenomenal food!! Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was so welcoming!! Loved this restaurant and will be coming back! Altered the usual French toast because of my preferences, but it usually comes with the strawberries, blueberries, bananas, Nutella, and whip cream. The chai was so delicious!!

As a fellow Puerto Rican and Veteran, I am ashamed I have not been here sooner. Everything was amazing. Coffee is imported from PR directly and if you know Puerto rican coffee than you know its delicious I had the Hensley sandwich and the touch of sweet plantains was perfection. And of course I can not forget to mention the bread. Will be making this my go to weekend coffee shop

My wife and I shared the Kensley's pineapple acai bowl (not on the menu) and Bori sandwich. I also had the Americano coffee, which was very smooth and well-balanced. The bowl and sandwich were both excellent. The bowl had every fruit option, sliced almonds, Nutella, and scoops of acai, coconut, passionfruit, and matcha. We had the gluten-free bread, which was very good. All in all, it was a great experience, coupled with friendly staff. We will return soon!

Soooo impressed! The food & coffee were great. The owner was so kind and hardworking. She even brought the coffee to the table and mentioned she’s Puerto Rican! Love the authenticity of the place. Will be back for sure!

Absolutely love the atmosphere of this coffee shop. It is kept very clean. There are different sized tables which is nice so you can meet with a group or just a couple of people. The person that the counter was very friendly and described the coffees that I wasn't sure what were very well. I tried the coconut affogato and it was the best thing I've ever had! The espresso was so smooth absolutely no bitterness to it like some coffee shops have. Highly recommend trying it! I will definitely be back to try more coffee here!

1st time visit to Kensley's and it won't be the last! The lattes are great, but the Saboa Bread with ham, egg & cheese was DELICIOUS, as was the Late Wrap with scrambled eggs. mozzarella & bacon!!! . The fruit bowl was FRESH and full of flavor! The desserts are as tasty as they are pretty!!! Peaceful place - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Super cute hidden gem of a Cafe! Their Quesito's were so good. It's the first time I ever had one. I also had the dulce Leche coffee which was perfect! Not too sweet which is how I like my coffee. I was overall very impressed and will be back!
